FALSE. While one might hope that consumers will follow this sage advice, the reality is, whether we mean to judge or not, the truth is, we all do. It is human nature. In today's age of technology, consumers are inundated with information overload. With so much information coming at you at all times, we may only have a few seconds to grab someone's attention. On top of that, what stands out to one person, may be completely overlooked by another. So, it is imperative that we must understand our target market and what elements will attract their attention—and fast. At Graphique, we take great care in researching and understanding your unique target audience, genre and competition, while taking into account ever-evolving trends, couple it with our own expertise and experience, and strategically compile a variety of cover options, each created in different styles for you to choose from. We have seen how changes in imagery, font, color or layout, are instrumental in conveying different messages to the consumer. Therefore, we aim to explore, experiment, test and analyze each design to ensure the end result is on target and evokes the right emotions from the consumer. The following cover designs are a sampling of initial concepts that we created for some of our commissioned books. Hopefully, this will give you a better idea of what to expect with your own project, and offer a little bit of inspiration.
